The Physics Department and Planetarium are located in Smith Hall (see image at right)
and the attached Science
Research Building, on East Summit Street, which forms the
southern edge of the campus. Parking is available in the R-5 lot just
south and east of the physics building. The entrance to the R-5 lot
is just in front of a distinctive building with a roof
shaped like a sine wave (Math & Computer Science). See the South Campus zone
of the campus map for
the location of Smith Hall and the R-5 lot; for visitors not familiar
with the Kent area, maps and directions are provided below.
Short-term visitors
who need to park in the R-5 lot during normal business hours should
obtain a single-day parking permit from the Physics Department office.
