Nuclear Theory
Projects
Theoretical and phenomenological studies in high-energy nuclear physics. This
includes modeling of nuclear collisions from moderate to ultrarelativistic
energies and the investigation of the high-energy phase with field-theoretical
methods. The nuclear equation of state is studied in a wide energy range,
with particular attention to the quark-gluon degrees of freedom.
Observables that can help identify phase transitions are examined.
Collaboration with experimentalists in related efforts provides a means
to keep the theory projects in touch with the reality of measured data.
Some projects are joint with other members of the
Center for Nuclear Research.
